Tepeyac Edition – The Origin of a Mission-Driven Partnership

The Tepeyac Edition represents the very beginning of a living partnership between Relevant Radio, Guadalupe Roastery, and Coffee of the Cross—the organization that actively manages the farm at origin in Matagalpa, Nicaragua.

This coffee exists on Coffee of the Cross because the mission starts here: on the ground, with the farmers, the land, and the stewardship of a farm entrusted to God’s providence. By managing the work at origin, Coffee of the Cross ensures that every bean supports the dignity of the human person, the livelihood of the farmers, and the larger mission of evangelization.

Named for Tepeyac, the sacred hill where Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared to St. Juan Diego, this coffee honors the roots of the mission and the spiritual motherhood of Our Lady.

About the Coffee

Grown on the farm we manage in the highlands of Matagalpa, this specialty-grade coffee scores 84+ points on the Specialty Coffee Association scale. The region carries deep spiritual significance: in 2014, the 65 bishops of CELAM consecrated this land to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, adding a unique layer of prayer and devotion to the work that happens here.
